My Story
|
I earned my first Associate of Arts from Columbus State Community College at 18, and later graduated summa cum laude with a second Associate of Arts (concentration in English Language/Literature) from the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash. Initially unsure of my professional path, I explored literature, professional writing, and educational courses to refine my skills and versatility as a writer. Along the way, I discovered a profound love for English, particularly professional and creative writing, and a passion for wanting to teach.
I have completed internships in fields such as Career Services, Marketing, Technical & Grant Writing, and Publishing, and I am looking to expand my experience even further. Just to name a few things I've learned along my journey, I have done 1:1 resume and job-search strategy workshops with college students, have given tours to over 1,000 students for summer orientations and previews, and have been responsible for proofreading and ranking poetry manuscripts. These experiences, with many more to come, hopefully, have solidified my desire to consider a multitude of career pathways, one that centers itself, at least partially, around writing. I am committed to advancing my skills through more education, certifications, and work experiences. |
